A few kilometres off the riverbanks of Yakyakistan, a mare of mint green complexion had reached the terminus in a tumultuous journey. She said to herself, “Why do the creeks flow in such a beautiful and mesmerizing way?”Indeed, it did; slightly obscured by the towering Yakyakistani cliffs were a series of intertwining currents of blue.Suddenly, a pink rabbit burst out of the bushes. It even spoke,
remarking: “You look weary; you might need a snack!” The mare, after being questioned about her hunger, suddenly felt an
urge to eat her favourite snack – the snack in question being…“KIT-KAT BALL®!” Not much ponies would hear of this particular brand, but the mare had always found a liking to the crispy wafer balls, coated in rich chocolate, giving a delightful CRUNCH in every bite!Suddenly, dawn fell, and the Yakyakistani forest was now enveloped in a dark blanket. The mare now only had the rabbit, and, well, herself of
course.“…So, what’s your name?” the rabbit asked. With hesitation, and also a feeling of shell shock that she can now
communicate with animals, the mint-green mare opened her mouth.
“Minty.”
“Ruby.” the rabbit said. It’s nice to meet you. The rabbit stretched her paw out, aiming for a… “hoof-pawshake”? Whatever you call it.
“Maybe it’s easier to do what we call a hoof-bump…” Several attempts of coordination later, Ruby had got it now. Its fingers curled up into a fist, gently pressing back on Minty’s stretched-out hoof.In the middle of their greeting, suddenly, something bright appeared in the sky – it was a shooting star! They were now both obliged to make a wish. Minty brought their head down, staring at the grass but subconsciously fixated on this fleeting moment. Ruby would not know what she could possibly wish for.“Wait, that’s not a shooting star… that’s… oh my god.” The moment of realisation struck, and she instantly bailed out. “MINTY, RUN! IT’S A METEOR!”
“Ridiculous! That’s simply… oh, you ain’t kidding!” That meteor was headed towards Minty at blistering speed, you could call it intentional. Their attempts to escape were futile; and the whole world exploded.Except… it didn’t quite. Suddenly, this… mint-green mare jolted awake in her bed, in a daze.
“…BUCK. I need to lay off the KIT-KAT BALL®.”
